Weekend at the "Carmel" market

Friday at the Carmel Market in the hart of Tel Aviv, 21/12/12 . Busiest  market day is Friday. People are shopping for Shabbat dinner. Tourists buy souvenirs in the nearby artists market "Nahalat Benyamin". Religious guys offer passersby to put on tefillin and pray for Yom Shabbat Shalom. 

I love hanging around on Friday despite the density and sense of urgency of the people get all the shopping before Shabbat.

Hashomer Hachadash - helping farmers in south of israel
